What is a SCAC code?

A SCAC (Standard Carrier Alpha Code) is a four-letter code that identifies a carrier. It appears in bill of lading numbers, US and Canadian customs filings and electronic data exchange.

How to use this list

If you have a bill of lading number, a SCAC code or a container prefix, you can see which line you are dealing with and go straight to its website for tracking and schedules. Type a company name, SCAC code or prefix into the search box.

Schedules and routes

Sailings and transit times change often. For an up-to-date schedule, use the carrier's own schedule search, or ask us for a quote on your route.
