Container & Truck Load Calculator

Enter your carton size to see the maximum number of boxes that fit in a container or truck.

What does the load calculator do?

This tool calculates how many identical boxes fit into a container or truck. It tries different box orientations and respects "this side up" markings and the vehicle payload limit.

How it works

  1. Enter the carton length, width, height and gross weight.
  2. Choose the container or vehicle type.
  3. Lock the box orientation if needed.
  4. The tool shows the maximum quantity within the volume and weight limits.

Weight limit example

If each carton weighs 20 kg and the payload limit is 10,000 kg: 10,000 / 20 = 500. Even if more cartons fit by volume, only 500 cartons can be loaded.

Important note

Results are theoretical maximums. Real loading depends on box strength, door clearance, securing and dunnage material, and weight distribution. Ertaş Global Logistics can help with a quote for your loading plan.

Use the outer carton dimensions and gross weight when calculating. For cartons that cannot be turned or stacked, lock the orientation; otherwise the tool may suggest a layout that cannot be used in practice. When in doubt, treat the result with a safety margin.

Frequently asked questions

How many cartons fit in a container?

It depends on the carton dimensions, the container type and the payload limit. Enter your sizes to get the theoretical maximum.

Why can the result differ from real loading?

The calculation is theoretical. Box strength, door clearance, securing material and weight distribution can reduce the practical quantity.

Is the weight limit taken into account?

Yes, the calculator checks both volume and payload limits and uses the lower result.
